The room of Calasanz

This room belonged to the Saint. The door, the window, the tiles, walls and ceiling, are exactly the same as in the time of Calasanz. This room was "sanctified by his presence, fasting, vigils, sleeping upon the hard floor, the frequent celestial apparitions he enjoyed, some of his miracles, and his holy death". In this room lived Calasanz for 36 years. The authenticity of all these exposed objects is verified by the inventaries made rightly after his death. On the upper part of the walls can bee seen shining some frescoes of the XVI century, with biblical scenes. There are also in the house, the chapel of the relics, a picture gallery, and the chapel of the apparitions among so many works of art and contemplation.
